這幾個(gè)“eye”的短語(yǔ)，你看得清嗎?

　　上次我們學(xué)習(xí)了兩個(gè)有關(guān)mouth 的短語(yǔ)，我們先來(lái)復(fù)習(xí)一下。Heart in your mouth means you feel nervous or scared. 意為“緊張的，害怕的”，down in the mouth means you look unhappy or depressed.，意為“不開(kāi)心，極其失落”。那么，今天我們來(lái)學(xué)習(xí)有關(guān)eye的短語(yǔ)。

　　1、an eye for an eye

　　An eye for an eye means the idea that a person who causes another person to suffer should suffer in an equal amount. 中文里有個(gè)說(shuō)法叫做以牙還牙，用來(lái)形容報(bào)復(fù)別人。英語(yǔ)中表達(dá)這個(gè)意思可以有兩個(gè)短語(yǔ)，an eye for an eye 和a tooth for a tooth 都可以用來(lái)表示報(bào)復(fù)別人。

　　We should learn to forgive people who hurt us badly. We should not adopt the way of an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.

　　If two people see eye to eye, they agree with each other. 意為同意別人的觀點(diǎn)。中文里有個(gè)說(shuō)法，用“兩個(gè)人看對(duì)眼了”來(lái)形容彼此觀點(diǎn)一致。英文中see eye to eye 即可用來(lái)表達(dá)同意別人觀點(diǎn)。

　　My sister doesn’t see eye to eye with me about tomorrow’s plan.

　　3、eye candy

　　Eye candy means a person or thing that is attractive but not intelligent or useful. 從字面來(lái)看，這個(gè)短語(yǔ)意思為眼睛里的糖果，其實(shí)它的正確意思是“華而不實(shí)，花瓶角色”。

　　糖果雖然看上去很誘人，但不一定就好吃，可以用來(lái)比喻某個(gè)東西看上去雖然美好，但是卻一點(diǎn)不實(shí)用。也可以指“養(yǎng)眼的人或物”。

　　All people love eye candies and sometimes they don’t care if the things are useful or not.

　　每個(gè)人都喜歡美觀的事物，有時(shí)候人們也不關(guān)心他們是否有用。
