這幾個“eye”的短語，你看得清嗎?

　　上次我們學(xué)習(xí)了兩個有關(guān)mouth 的短語，我們先來復(fù)習(xí)一下。Heart in your mouth means you feel nervous or scared. 意為“緊張的，害怕的”，down in the mouth means you look unhappy or depressed.，意為“不開心，極其失落”。那么，今天我們來學(xué)習(xí)有關(guān)eye的短語。

　　1、an eye for an eye

　　An eye for an eye means the idea that a person who causes another person to suffer should suffer in an equal amount. 中文里有個說法叫做以牙還牙，用來形容報復(fù)別人。英語中表達(dá)這個意思可以有兩個短語，an eye for an eye 和a tooth for a tooth 都可以用來表示報復(fù)別人。

　　We should learn to forgive people who hurt us badly. We should not adopt the way of an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.

　　當(dāng)別人上海我們時，我們應(yīng)該學(xué)會寬恕別人，而不能以牙還牙。

　　The best way to deal with him is an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.

　　2、see eye to eye(with)

　　If two people see eye to eye, they agree with each other. 意為同意別人的觀點(diǎn)。中文里有個說法，用“兩個人看對眼了”來形容彼此觀點(diǎn)一致。英文中see eye to eye 即可用來表達(dá)同意別人觀點(diǎn)。

　　My sister doesn’t see eye to eye with me about tomorrow’s plan.

　　關(guān)于明天的計劃，我姐姐不同意我的觀點(diǎn)。

　　I think it’s really important that we see eye to eye on this subject.

　　我認(rèn)為在這個話題上我們兩個的觀點(diǎn)一致是十分重要的。

　　3、eye candy

　　Eye candy means a person or thing that is attractive but not intelligent or useful. 從字面來看，這個短語意思為眼睛里的糖果，其實它的正確意思是“華而不實，花瓶角色”。

　　糖果雖然看上去很誘人，但不一定就好吃，可以用來比喻某個東西看上去雖然美好，但是卻一點(diǎn)不實用。也可以指“養(yǎng)眼的人或物”。

　　All people love eye candies and sometimes they don’t care if the things are useful or not.

　　每個人都喜歡美觀的事物，有時候人們也不關(guān)心他們是否有用。
