China's research icebreaker Xuelong has entered a floating ice area in the Southern Ocean to avoid a cyclone.

為躲避氣旋，中國科考破冰船“雪龍”號(hào)進(jìn)入了南大洋浮冰區(qū)。

The ice area is located at 61.55 degrees south latitude and 110.37 east longitude.

該浮冰區(qū)位于南緯61度55分、東經(jīng)110度37分。

Xuelong traveled between sheets of floating ice, with crushing noise heard when the bottom of the ship hit the ice.

“雪龍”號(hào)穿行在一片片浮冰之間，當(dāng)船底撞到冰面上時(shí)，發(fā)出了破碎的聲音。

The ship has lowered its speed from 15 knots to 9 knots to relieve tremors.

為減輕船體的震動(dòng)，船速由每小時(shí)15海里降至每小時(shí)9海里。

The icebreaker is now sailing along the edge of the ice field in order to avoid a cyclone, said First Mate Zhu Li, adding that although the floating ice will reduce the ship speed, it will also be able to alleviate threats posed by a strong weather system to navigating safety.

大副朱利表示，該破冰船正沿著浮冰區(qū)的邊緣行進(jìn)，以躲避一個(gè)氣旋。他還補(bǔ)充說，雖然浮冰會(huì)減慢船舶行進(jìn)速度，但也能夠減少強(qiáng)天氣系統(tǒng)對(duì)航行安全帶來的威脅。

Xuelong will sail out of the floating ice area and into the wide Southern Ocean under favorable weather conditions, and is scheduled to reach the Zhongshan Station in Antarctica on November 30.

在有利的天氣條件下，“雪龍”號(hào)將駛出浮冰區(qū)，進(jìn)入開闊的南大洋海域，并預(yù)計(jì)于11月30日左右抵達(dá)南極中山站。

The icebreaker carried a research team set sail from Shanghai on November 2, beginning the country's 35th Antarctic expedition which will last 162 days and cover 37,000 nautical miles.

這艘搭載一個(gè)研究小組的破冰船于11月2日從上海啟航，開啟了我國第35次南極科考。此次考察將持續(xù)162天，總航程約3.7萬海里。
