特朗普回應(yīng)演講被'嘲笑' 這是一種尊重

President Trump said that while world leaders laughed during his speech to the United Nations the day before, they "weren't laughing at me, they were laughing with me."

特朗普總統(tǒng)日前聲稱，在他在聯(lián)合國發(fā)表演講時(shí)，盡管世界各國領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人在下面大笑，但他們“不是在嘲笑我，而是在和我一起開心”。

"We had fun. That was not laughing at me," Trump told reporters during a press conference.

特朗普在新聞發(fā)布會(huì)上告訴記者：“我們其樂融融。所以這不是在嘲笑我。”

"So, the fake news said 'people laughed at President Trump,'" he added. "They didn't laugh at me. People had a good time with me."

他補(bǔ)充說道：“有假新聞?wù)f'人們嘲笑特朗普總統(tǒng)'。但他們實(shí)際并沒有嘲笑我。人們和我相處的很愉快。”

During the opening remarks of his speech last Tuesday, Trump boasted that his administration "has accomplished more than almost any administration in the history of our country in its first two years."

在上周二演講的開場(chǎng)白中，特朗普吹噓說，他領(lǐng)導(dǎo)下的美國政府“在美國歷史上的頭兩年里，取得的成就幾乎超過任何一屆政府”。

Audience members began chuckling, and the laughs grew louder when Trump said "so true."

當(dāng)特朗普說“情況屬實(shí)”時(shí)，觀眾們開始咯咯笑起來，笑聲越來越大。

Trump smiled and paused, before adding, "I didn't expect that reaction, but that's OK."

特朗普笑了笑，停頓了一下，然后補(bǔ)充說：“我沒想到會(huì)有這種反應(yīng)，但沒關(guān)系。”

Trump said that he was surprised by the response because many of the people in attendance "aren't big into clapping, applauding, smiling."

He suggested that the reaction was a sign of respect. "They respect what I've done," he said. "The United States is respected again."

他認(rèn)為這種反應(yīng)是尊重自己的表現(xiàn)。他表示：“他們尊重我的所作所為。美國再次受到尊重。”
