Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is selling $13 billion of shares of his company to fund the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI) in projects such as the Human Cell Atlas and Biohub.

臉書(shū)首席執(zhí)行官馬克·扎克伯格準(zhǔn)備出售價(jià)值130億美元的公司股票，為“陳-扎克伯格倡議”發(fā)起的“人類(lèi)細(xì)胞圖譜”及Biohub等項(xiàng)目提供資金。

The goal is to cure, prevent or manage all diseases"in our children's lifetime," the report said.

報(bào)道稱(chēng)，此舉的目的是治療、預(yù)防或管理“孩子們一生當(dāng)中的所有疾病”。

The Human Cell Atlas maps cells in the human body. Biohub joins researchers from the three top academic institutions in the San Francisco Bay area.

“人類(lèi)細(xì)胞圖譜”項(xiàng)目繪制出了人體內(nèi)的細(xì)胞圖。而B(niǎo)iohub項(xiàng)目則是結(jié)合了舊金山灣區(qū)三大頂尖學(xué)術(shù)研究機(jī)構(gòu)的研究人員。

CZI was founded by Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan.

Last year, Zuckerberg said he would sell up to 75 million shares of Facebook and invest the resulting $12 billion to fund the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative.

Facebook has faced challenges this past year including reports that Cambridge Analytica used the social media company to manipulate voter behavior.
