故宮養(yǎng)心殿正式啟動(dòng)修繕工作

The Palace Museum starts official renovation on Yangxin Dian, or the Hall of Mental Cultivation, in the Forbidden City last Monday, a building where emperors of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) resided and handled state affairs.

上周一，故宮博物院正式啟動(dòng)對(duì)紫禁城內(nèi)養(yǎng)心殿的修繕工作。養(yǎng)心殿是清朝皇帝居住和處理政務(wù)的場(chǎng)所。

Yangxin Dian, or the Hall of Mental Cultivation, is one of the most intriguing palaces in the Forbidden City. Starting in the Yongzheng period, Yangxin Dian wasa political decision-making center in the Qing Dynasty and the residence of eight Qing emperors.

養(yǎng)心殿是紫禁城中最引人入勝的宮殿之一。從雍正時(shí)期開(kāi)始，養(yǎng)心殿就是清代的政治決策中心和八位清代皇帝的居所。

The palace had been closed two years and eight months before the official renovation started.

在正式啟動(dòng)修繕工作前，養(yǎng)心殿已“閉門(mén)謝客”兩年零八個(gè)月了。

According to museum curator Shan Jixiang, during this period the museum had conducted systematic training with 275 craftsmen, covering detailed skills for ancient architecture construction and traditional repair techniques.

據(jù)故宮博物院院長(zhǎng)單霽翔介紹，在此期間，故宮博物院對(duì)275名工匠進(jìn)行了系統(tǒng)培訓(xùn)，包括古代建筑施工的精細(xì)技術(shù)和傳統(tǒng)修復(fù)技術(shù)等。

116 craftsmen passed the selection test, and serve as the main force for the renovation of Yangxin Dian.

通過(guò)選拔考試的116名工匠是養(yǎng)心殿修復(fù)工作的主力軍。

The renovation of Yangxin Dian is part of an overall renovation project of the Palace Museum, the largest scale since 1911.

養(yǎng)心殿的修繕工程是故宮博物院整體修繕工程的一部分，這是自1911年以來(lái)規(guī)模最大的修繕工程。

It is scheduled to finish in 2020 when the Forbidden City welcomes its 600th birthday.

按計(jì)劃，養(yǎng)心殿的修繕工作將于2020年完工，屆時(shí)紫禁城也將迎來(lái)其600歲生日。
