大眾因安全氣囊問(wèn)題擬在華召回486萬(wàn)輛汽車

Volkswagen and its joint venture partners in China will recall 4.86m vehicles in the country because of faulty airbags, China’s quality watchdog has said.

中國(guó)質(zhì)量監(jiān)管機(jī)構(gòu)表示，由于安全氣囊缺陷問(wèn)題，大眾(Volkswagen)及其中國(guó)合資企業(yè)伙伴將在中國(guó)召回486萬(wàn)輛汽車。

The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said that the airbags were made by Takata, the Japanese automotive supplier at the centre of a global recall of exploding airbags. The recall will begin in March 2018.

中國(guó)國(guó)家質(zhì)檢總局表示，問(wèn)題安全氣囊是由日本汽車零部件供應(yīng)商高田(Takata)生產(chǎn)的。該公司處于一場(chǎng)由安全氣囊爆炸引發(fā)的全球性召回行動(dòng)的中心。召回將于2018年3月開(kāi)始。

Earlier this month, the Chinese regulator said that more than 1.8m Volkswagen cars with faulty fuel pumps would be recalled.

The German company sold a record 22.9 million cars in China in the 2016 financial year, an 18 per cent increase from the previous 12 months and driving record global sales of 81.1 million.

Recalls linked to the Takata-made airbags in the US alone total at least 28m. The company’s airbag inflators can explode when deploying, scattering shrapnel into the face of a driver or passenger.
