朝鮮誓言加速核武器開發(fā)

North Korea has vowed to redouble efforts to acquire nuclear weapons that can strike the US mainland, a day after the UN agreed its strongest sanctions yet on the rogue regime following its sixth nuclear test.

朝鮮發(fā)誓要加倍努力搞出能打擊美國本土的核武器。一天前，聯(lián)合國(UN)剛剛因這個流氓政權(quán)最近進行了第六次核試驗而通過了迄今最強力的對朝制裁措施。

The foreign ministry in Pyongyang on Wednesday derided the latest UN resolution as a “product of heinous provocation” that infringed on North Korea’s right to self-defence, adding that the country’s nuclear push “was absolutely right”.

周三，朝鮮外務省嘲諷了聯(lián)合國的最新決議，稱之為“窮兇極惡的挑釁行為的產(chǎn)物”，旨在剝奪朝鮮正當?shù)淖孕l(wèi)權(quán)，并補充稱，朝鮮選擇的道路“是千真萬確的”。

“The DPRK will redouble the efforts to increase its strength to safeguard the country’s sovereignty and right to existence and to preserve peace and security of the region by establishing the practical equilibrium with the US,” the ministry said in a statement carried by the official KCNA news agency. The DPRK is North Korea’s official name that stands for the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

“朝鮮將進一步加快鞏固自身力量來與美國保持實際上的平衡，捍衛(wèi)國家主權(quán)和生存權(quán)，保障地區(qū)和平與安全步伐，”朝鮮外務省在由官方通訊社朝中社(KCNA)發(fā)布的聲明中表示。

The statement of defiance came after Han Tae-song, the country’s ambassador to the UN, said in Geneva on Tuesday that Pyongyang was “ready to use a form of ultimate means”, warning the US that it would face the “greatest pain it ever experienced in history” for leading the UN move.

朝鮮發(fā)布這一蔑視性聲明之前，該國駐聯(lián)合國大使Han Tae Song周二在日內(nèi)瓦表示，朝鮮“已準備好使用一種終極手段”，并警告美國稱，美國將因引領聯(lián)合國制裁之舉而面對“其有史以來經(jīng)歷過的最大痛苦”。

The UN sanctions — which include an embargo on textile exports, a halt to employing new North Korean workers overseas and a cap on refined petroleum trading that will cut oil imports 30 per cent — are aimed at depriving Pyongyang of more than $1.3bn in annual revenues and heightening pressure on Kim Jong Un’s regime to abandon its nuclear goals.

聯(lián)合國的制裁包括，禁止朝鮮出口紡織品，暫停在海外雇傭新的朝鮮勞工，設定成品油貿(mào)易上限——此舉將使朝鮮石油進口減少30%。制裁的目的是令朝鮮每年喪失逾13億美元的收入，并向金正恩(Kim Jong Un)政權(quán)施加更大壓力，促其放棄核目標。
