韓國反對黨堅持推進(jìn)彈劾總統(tǒng)動議

South Korean opposition parties on Wednesday launched a stinging attack on President Park Geun-hye, lambasting her proposal for relinquishing power and vowing to push ahead with an impeachment motion.

韓國反對黨在周三對總統(tǒng)樸槿惠(Park Geun-hye)發(fā)起猛烈抨擊，斥責(zé)她的辭職請求，并發(fā)誓要推動彈劾動議。

“South Koreans do not want to enter the new year with Park Geun-hye as president ... She has thrown away her last opportunity [to resign with dignity],” said Choo Mi-ae, leader of the Democratic party, at a meeting of the three main opposition parties. “Under our constitution, the only remaining option is to proceed with impeachment.”

韓國民主黨(Democratic)領(lǐng)袖Choo Mi-ae在三大反對黨舉行的會議上表示：“韓國人不想進(jìn)入新的一年時樸槿惠還擔(dān)任總統(tǒng)……她拋棄了她最后的機(jī)會(有尊嚴(yán)的辭職)。根據(jù)我國憲法，唯一剩下的選擇就是進(jìn)行彈劾。”

“I will step down according to the schedule and legal procedures agreed by lawmakers for the stable transfer of power,” Ms Park said on Tuesday.

樸槿惠在周二表示：“我會按照國會商定的時間表卸任，以盡量減小權(quán)力真空。”

The remarks prompted Ms Park’s closest allies to demand the impeachment motion be put on ice. Other ruling party lawmakers, broadly in favour of removing the president, said April would be an appropriate time for her to quit.

這番言論促使樸槿惠最親密的盟友們要求推遲彈劾動議。執(zhí)政黨其他議員大致贊成撤去樸槿惠總統(tǒng)職務(wù)，他們表示明年4月是她下臺的適當(dāng)時機(jī)。

But the opposition has vowed to push ahead with the impeachment bid, saying that constitutionally “there is no other way to shorten her tenure”.

但反對派已發(fā)誓要推動彈劾議案，稱按照憲法“沒有其他辦法縮短她的任期”。

If parliament votes in favour of impeachment, presidential power will be transferred to the country’s prime minister while the matter goes to the constitutional court.

如果國會投票贊成彈劾，總統(tǒng)權(quán)力將移交韓國總理，期間此事將交由憲法法院處理。

The court, whose judges tend to be conservative, then has 180 days to rule on the legality of the motion. If upheld, Ms Park would be forced to step down and would lose her immunity from prosecution.

憲法法院將有180天來裁決這項動議的合法性，該院法官通常傾向保守。如果維持動議，樸槿惠將被迫下臺，同時將失去檢控豁免權(quán)。

Chung Jin-suk, floor leader for the ruling Saenuri party, said the impeachment motion would confuse proceedings, while an immediate resignation would be inconvenient for voters.

韓國執(zhí)政黨新國家黨(Saenuri)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人Chung Jin-suk表示，彈劾動議將混淆訴訟程序，而立即辭職會對選民造成不便。

“If the president announced her immediate resignation on Tuesday, we would have had to hold an election by the end of January,” said Mr Chung. “It would be difficult to prepare in time. People would be deprived of the chance to thoroughly vet candidates.”

Chung Jin-suk表示：“如果總統(tǒng)在周二宣布立即辭職，我們就必須在明年1月底舉行選舉，很難及時做好準(zhǔn)備。這樣人們就被剝奪了徹底審查候選人的機(jī)會。”
