Ren Yueli was once a street singer in an undergroundpassage in Xidan, in downtown Beijing. Herinterpretation of the song "Angel's Wings" wentviral online in 2009. Netizens named her the "Xidangirl."

任月麗曾經(jīng)是北京西單地下通道的街頭歌手。2009年，她因翻唱歌曲《天使的翅膀》而在網(wǎng)上爆紅。網(wǎng)民也把她稱作“西單女孩”。

More recently, Ren once again entered the publiceye. This time it was not her songs but hersuccessful transformation into a businesswomanthat drew attention. A tooth paste advertisement for the brand of a toothpaste that Ren nowmanages got played on the big screen in New York City's Times Square.

最近，任月麗再次進(jìn)入大眾視野。這一次，引來(lái)人們注意的并不是她的歌聲，而是她成功轉(zhuǎn)型為一名商業(yè)女性。在紐約時(shí)代廣場(chǎng)的大屏幕上，播放著任月麗經(jīng)營(yíng)的一款牙膏的廣告。

Well-known writer Su Qin said on her Weibo that Ren's business enterprise had alreadypropelled her into the stratum of multimillionaires. "Xidan girl" seemed to approve of thewriter's message, re-posting from her Weibo with a smiling emoji added at the end.

知名作家蘇芩在她的微博上表示，任月麗的企業(yè)已經(jīng)把她推入了千萬(wàn)富翁的行列。“西單女孩”似乎同意作者的觀點(diǎn)，在她的微博上轉(zhuǎn)發(fā)了這則評(píng)論，并在結(jié)尾添加上了一個(gè)笑臉。

However, Ren said in an interview with Chengdu Commercial Daily: "It is an exaggerationtosay that I'm a multimillionaire. That's just the valuation of our products. Business is sort of asecondary profession for me; I am still a singer, and that's my main career."

不過(guò)，任月麗在《成都商業(yè)日?qǐng)?bào)》的一次采訪中說(shuō)道：“說(shuō)我是千萬(wàn)富翁有點(diǎn)兒夸張。那只是對(duì)產(chǎn)品的估值。商業(yè)是我的第二職業(yè);我還是個(gè)歌手，這是我的主業(yè)。”

Ren said the idea to invest in toothpaste came from a friend of hers, who successfullyconvinced Ren to get involved. Compared with her singing career, Ren said business has beengoing very smoothly: "I have the best partner and the best team, so I do not worry aboutsales or recognition," said Ren.

任月麗表示，投資牙膏的想法來(lái)自她的一個(gè)朋友，這位朋友成功地勸說(shuō)任入伙。相比歌唱事業(yè)，她說(shuō)，商業(yè)發(fā)展很順利：“我擁有最好的合伙人和團(tuán)隊(duì)，所以我不用擔(dān)心銷售和品牌認(rèn)知，”

When asked about the future, she made no secret of her ambition. Ren said: "I want to be thenext Dong Mingzhu!”
