谷歌獲準(zhǔn)繼續(xù)在華營業(yè)

       China today renewed Google's licence to continue operating in the country, the search giant announced today.

　　搜索行業(yè)巨頭今日宣布，中國更新了谷歌的營業(yè)牌照，允許其在國內(nèi)繼續(xù)經(jīng)營。

　　The decision secures Google's foothold in the country's fast-growing internet market despite tensions over censorship.

　　盡管審查制度方面還有些緊張的勢頭，這項(xiàng)決定讓谷歌在網(wǎng)絡(luò)發(fā)展如此迅速的中國市場站穩(wěn)了腳跟。

　　The deal had been in doubt because of the dispute between Google and China over hacking of Gmail accounts and censorship of search results.

　　這筆交易一度被人懷疑，因?yàn)樵谌∠鸊mail郵箱和對搜索結(jié)果審查的問題上，谷歌和中國方面一直存在爭議。

　  Google closed its China search engine in March but wanted to keep a website that offers music and other services.

　　谷歌曾經(jīng)在三月份關(guān)閉了其在中國區(qū)的搜索引擎，但是他們想維持自己的網(wǎng)頁，來提供音樂和其他服務(wù)。

　　Google's lawyer David Drummond said: 'We are very pleased that the government has renewed our ICP (internet content provider) licence and we look forward to continuing to provide web search and local products to our users in China.

    Users had been automatically redirected to Google's uncensored Hong Kong site, but the company stopped that last week after China warned the move could mean losing its licence.
