Interview: Education reform becomes hot topic

Education reform is a hotly debated issues at this year's CPPCC session. Compared with country's rapid economic growth, it's fair to say that China's educational system is lagging behind.

In a recent survey by Peoplesdaily.com, more than half of parents interviewed in Beijing and Shanghai are not satisfied with the current educational system which primarily focuses on exams and learning by rote.
