托福詞匯之“economic slump 經(jīng)濟(jì)滑坡”

　　剛剛被任命的世界銀行首席經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)家林毅夫認(rèn)為，中國經(jīng)濟(jì)規(guī)模決定其在奧運(yùn)會后仍會高速增長，不會出現(xiàn)投資一度下降的經(jīng)濟(jì)蕭條。

　　該報(bào)道中，post-Olympics recession 就是“賽后蕭條”，也可以譯成 post-games slump。 recession 多用于經(jīng)濟(jì)報(bào)道中，表示“(經(jīng)濟(jì))不景氣，蕭條”，slump可以用作動詞和名詞，表示“(經(jīng)濟(jì))滑坡，(物價(jià)等)暴跌”的意思。如果想表達(dá)“經(jīng)濟(jì)增長”的意思，可以用 economic growth 或 economic gain;假如經(jīng)濟(jì)“迅速增長”，就可以用surge，例如：The economy has been surging recently.
