一邊是招聘會上,求職若渴的應(yīng)聘者擠爆展廳,另一邊則是金融危機(jī)下,企業(yè)調(diào)整人員配置,想盡辦法節(jié)約人力成本。如何有效地發(fā)揮員工潛能,轉(zhuǎn)變觀念靈活用工,使企業(yè)在經(jīng)濟(jì)危機(jī)的“冬眠期”仍保持旺盛的競爭力,已經(jīng)成為很多企業(yè)關(guān)心的話題。

在上面的報(bào)道中,HR cost 就是指“人力成本”。大家對HR (human resource,人力資源)一定不陌生。例如Human resources are the most valuable.(人力資源是最寶貴的資源)。人力成本不僅包括員工薪金,還包括各種福利、獎勵及損耗成本。為了形成競爭優(yōu)勢,企業(yè)需要投資human capital(人力資本),并實(shí)施有效的human resource management(人力資源管理),否則就有可能遭受brain drain(人才流失)了。
Resource除了在HR中表示“資源”,還常用來指“智謀,對策”。Jim是a man of resource(足智多謀的人),最近他受命參與exploit natural resources(開發(fā)自然資源)。但他一直擔(dān)心這一地區(qū)的financial resource(財(cái)力),所以今天他沒有按期上交計(jì)劃書,但有些人認(rèn)為他這是at the end of his resources(無計(jì)可施)。
