蘇軾的絕句《春夜》是一首描寫春夜景色的小詩。全詩明白如畫卻立意深沉，在冷靜自然的描寫中，含蓄委婉地透露出作者對醉生夢死、貪圖享樂、不惜光陰的人的深深譴責(zé)。詩人用“春宵一刻值千金”這句開頭，對春夜的由衷贊美引發(fā)了人們對光陰可貴的聯(lián)想。“一年之計(jì)在于春”，春是一年之始，春風(fēng)駘蕩，萬物復(fù)蘇，花草飄香，春代表著生命，象征著希望，然而春光美好，卻又非常短暫，因此人們在歌頌春的同時(shí)，也意識到光陰的可貴。

I find my gown too large,but I will not regret;

這是一首懷人之作。詞人把漂泊異鄉(xiāng)的落魄感受，同懷念意中人的纏綿情思結(jié)合在一起寫，采用“曲徑通幽”的表現(xiàn)方式，抒情寫景，感情真摯。這首詞妙緊拓“春愁”即“相思”，卻又遲遲不肯說破，只是從字里行間向讀者透露出一些消息，眼看要寫到了，卻又煞住，調(diào)轉(zhuǎn)筆墨，如此影影綽綽，撲朔迷離，千回百折，直到最后一句，才使真相大白。在詞的最后兩句相思感情達(dá)到高潮的時(shí)候，戛然而止，激情回蕩，又具有很強(qiáng)的感染力。

Green water winds along
The banks overgrown with sweet grass; here and there
Faintly we hear a flute song.
The water surface is smooth like glass when no wind blows;

這首詞是作者晚年《采桑子》組詞中的一首。它以輕松淡雅的筆調(diào)，描寫泛舟穎州(今安徽阜陽)西湖時(shí)所見的美麗景色。全詞色調(diào)清麗，風(fēng)格娟秀，充滿詩情畫意，讀來清新可喜。
臨江仙

夢后樓臺高鎖，
酒醒簾幕低垂。
去年春恨卻來時(shí)，
落花人獨(dú)立，
微雨燕雙飛。
記得小蘋初見，
兩重心字羅衣。
琵琶弦上說相思。

I silken dress embroidered with two hearts in a ring,
Revealing lovesickness by touching pipa's string.
The moon shines bright just as last year;
It did see her like a cloud disappear.

這是一首感舊懷人的名篇，本詞為懷念歌女小蘋所作。上片寫別后的孤獨(dú)和刻骨相思，寫今日，下片追憶初見小萍時(shí)的印象及小蘋歸去時(shí)的情景，寫去時(shí)的情景，寫去年。據(jù)作者《小山詞》自跋所述，作者好友沈廉叔、陳君友家有蓮、鴻、蘋、云四個(gè)歌女，詞人及其好友的新詞經(jīng)常由她們在席間歌唱。作者和詞中小蘋亦曾有過一段戀情，后沈歿陳病，小蘋等人也就風(fēng)飄云散，不知去向。
