If your mother and your wife fell into a river at the same time, whom would you save first and why?

My father, my husband, and my 5 year old daughter fell from an overturned boat on a pond and none could swim efficiently.

我父親、我丈夫還有我五歲的女兒都從船上翻了下來掉進(jìn)水里，而且他們都不會游泳。

I was on the bank and I was their only support.

而我站在岸上，是他們唯一的希望。

My husband grabbed a floating cushion under one arm and my daughter under the other. They were afloat, at least temporarily.

我丈夫一只手抓住一塊漂浮墊，另一只手抓住我女兒，這樣他們起碼能暫時性地浮在水面。

My father was going under.

我父親就快沉下去了。

I grabbed a fishing pole from the bank and went in toward my father until he could reach the pole. I then swam for the overturned boat which was still afloat from trapped airunderneath.

我從岸上拿了只釣魚竿然后游向我父親讓他抓住釣魚竿，接著我游向了那艘雖然翻了但還漂在水面上的船。

My father held to the boat and I took my daughter from my husband's arms and swam to the bank with her.

在我父親緊握住船之后，我從我丈夫手里接過我女兒然后帶著她一起游回岸邊。

Upon reaching solid ground I looked back and discovered that both my father and husband were clinging to the boat which had followed me to the bank BECAUSE MY DAUGHTER'S SHOE STRINGS WERE ENTANGLED WITHIN THE LINE FROM A FISHING POLE WHICH WAS LODGED IN THE BOTTOM OF THE BOAT.

在靠岸后我回過頭，然后發(fā)現(xiàn)我丈夫和我父親都緊靠著船，而這艘船居然跟著我靠岸了，因為船上的釣魚竿和我女兒的鞋帶攪在一起了。

All survived.

所有人都活了下來。
