為什么外國人要用blue blood來表示“尊貴”

這里出現(xiàn)的藍(lán)血對應(yīng)英文blue blood，但并不表示“藍(lán)色的血液”，而是“尊貴，高貴”的意思。

blue blood作為短語，常用來表示“社會地位高”，而在英美語境中，也常用作名詞，表示“貴族血統(tǒng)，貴族(descent from nobility;a person of such descent; aristocrat)”;形容詞形式則是blue-blooded，這個表達(dá)源于西班牙語中的sangre azul。

那么為什么外國人會用它來表示「尊貴」呢?

藍(lán)血人屬于上等階級，因為很少在戶外活動的人血管會透過白皙的皮膚呈現(xiàn)出藍(lán)色，過去這種人通常是上等階級。
