Extreme(極端)樂隊(duì) 成立于己于1986年，樂隊(duì)于1989年推出了首張同名專輯。當(dāng)時(shí)的樂迷們似乎更愿意看到他們心中的偶像在電視中口吐臟話，在舞臺(tái)上叼著煙大摔吉他之類傲慢不馴的舉止，而樂隊(duì)的小伙子們則顯得過于健康文靜，缺少花哨的包裝與花邊新聞，這也使 MTV 等娛樂業(yè)的宣傳機(jī)器忽視了他們極高的音樂水準(zhǔn)與嚴(yán)肅的立意。我行我素的樂隊(duì)成員們堅(jiān)持著自己的風(fēng)格并沒有向媚俗的音樂傳媒和樂迷們屈服，于1990年推出極為經(jīng)典之作——《Pornograffitti》。
