There are many times we do this in our lives,

even if its at an unconsciousness level.

they have already been committed to it for so many years.

that doesnt even work

but you already spent so much time

and money committing to it

that you dont want to let it go.

I was encouraging a friend to try Intermittent Fasting

我想要勸說一個朋友嘗試間歇性斷食

but the protocol she was on

而她堅持的節(jié)食方法

encouraged eating small meals many times a day

卻鼓勵她少食多餐

(even though it didnt yield much results),

盡管這種辦法收效甚微

but she spent too much time/money on it,

但她卻為此事花費了許多時間和金錢

so she couldnt just let it go.

所以她不愿意放棄
