英國(guó)文化教育協(xié)會(huì)2018年度A.S.Hornby Educational Trust Scholarships霍恩比教育基金獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金在中國(guó)的選拔工作現(xiàn)已開(kāi)始。

申請(qǐng)截止日期為2018年2月16日(周五)英國(guó)時(shí)間下午12點(diǎn)。

A.S.Hornby Educational Trust 霍恩比教育基金每年在全球選拔英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言教師作為獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金獲得者，資助其前往University of Warwick 進(jìn)行TESOL(Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages，對(duì)外英語(yǔ)教學(xué))全日制碩士學(xué)位的學(xué)習(xí)。該獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金由A.S. Hornby于1961年設(shè)立，旨在為全球英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言教學(xué)提供支持。A.S.Hornby是一家英國(guó)注冊(cè)的慈善機(jī)構(gòu)，其在英語(yǔ)教學(xué)方面頗有建樹(shù)，編著有牛津高階英語(yǔ)詞典。

該獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金獲得者將于2018年10月至2019年9月期間赴University of Warwick深造一年，研修TESOL碩士學(xué)位。

 

 

經(jīng)費(fèi)

該獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金涵蓋獲得者在英國(guó)學(xué)習(xí)期間的所有費(fèi)用，包括食宿費(fèi)、生活費(fèi)、學(xué)費(fèi)、中英往返機(jī)票、簽證費(fèi)以及雅思考試報(bào)名費(fèi)。

申請(qǐng)者資質(zhì)

- 至少兩年全職英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言教學(xué)經(jīng)驗(yàn);

- 全日制大學(xué)本科學(xué)士學(xué)位;

- 需達(dá)到所申請(qǐng)學(xué)校規(guī)定的英文水平，通常以雅思成績(jī)?yōu)楹饬繕?biāo)準(zhǔn)(雅思成績(jī)不低于6.5分，其中任何單項(xiàng)成績(jī)不低于6分，寫(xiě)作不低于6.5分)。

霍恩比教育基金旨在幫助從事英語(yǔ)教學(xué)的專業(yè)人士在職業(yè)發(fā)展中更上一層樓，希望他們?cè)趯W(xué)成回國(guó)后能引領(lǐng)發(fā)展和變革，能在各方面啟發(fā)同行和同事并能給當(dāng)?shù)氐挠⒄Z(yǔ)教學(xué)帶來(lái)實(shí)際的改變。

A.S.Hornby Educational Trust scholarships

This is to announce the opening of the recruitment process for the A.S.Hornby Educational Trust scholarships for study in the UK between October 2018 and September 2019.

The deadline for receipt of applications is 12.00 midday UK time on Friday 16 February 2018.

What is the A.S.Hornby Educational Trust scholarships?

The A.S.Hornby Educational Trust scholarships are awarded every year to English language teachers from outside the UK to study for Masters in TESOL at the University of Warwick.

The Trust was set up by A.S.Hornby in 1961 to support English language teaching worldwide. A.S.Hornby had a distinguished career in English language teaching and developed the Oxford Advanced Learners’ Dictionary, which is still published in its 8th edition by Oxford University Press. The Trust is a registered charity in the UK.

The scholarships fund study on the one-year Masters in TESOL at the University of Warwick.

- The scholarships cover all the costs in the UK including a monthly stipend to cover accommodation and living expenses, tuition fees, and return air tickets, tuition fees, visa and IELTS test costs

- Eligible applicants for the scholarship award must have at least two years’ full-time English language teaching experience and a full university degree. Applicants also require the level of English proficiency required by the university (this is normally assessed according to IELTS – scholars require an overall score of 6.5, with no less than 6.0 in any of the categories, and 6.5 for writing). The Hornby Scholarships are intended to support experienced English language teachers who have the potential to make a significant future contribution to English language teaching and teachers in their countries

- Applicants are selected by a four-stage process. In the first stage, the quality of the application form is assessed. In the second stage, selected applicants are invited for interview at the British Council office in their country of origin. In the third stage, selected applicants apply to the university. In the fourth stage, the successful applicant is accepted by the university. Only at this stage is the scholarship award is confirmed with the applicant.
