美國同性戀婦女欲收養(yǎng)中國孤兒被拒絕

China Centre for Children's Welfare and Adoptiondenied on Thursday having received an adoptionapplication from a US gay couple.

上周四，中國兒童福利和收養(yǎng)中心否認收到了美國同性戀夫婦的領養(yǎng)申請。

An employee from China Centre for Children'sWelfare and Adoption told the Global Times that theyonly found out about Melissa Castro Wyatt's caseafter reading her article on how her application isagainst China's adoption rules on The WashingtonPost.

中國兒童福利和收養(yǎng)中心的一名工作人員在接受環(huán)球時報采訪時表示，他們只是在讀過了梅利莎·卡斯特羅·懷亞特發(fā)表在華盛頓郵報上的文章，才了解到她的申請違反了中國的收養(yǎng)規(guī)定。

The article titled "I bumped into my fate, and against China's adoption rules" has sparkedheated discussion online, in which she said that she was denied the chance to adopt a 4-year-old disabled Chinese boy by a Chinese adoption agency, since a same-sex couple "is one thingthey will not consider."

這篇標題為：“我遇到了我的緣分，但卻違反中國的領養(yǎng)規(guī)定”的文章在網(wǎng)上引發(fā)了激烈的討論。作者在文中表示想收養(yǎng)一個4歲的中國殘疾男孩，卻遭到了中國領養(yǎng)機構的拒絕，原因是“他們絕對不考慮”同性戀夫婦收養(yǎng)孩子。

The employee told the Global Times that when selecting adopters, adoption agencies wouldalways take the kids' interest as the prime priority, which is the only rule. "Our only goal andhope is that our kids can fit into the foreign countries," said the employee.

這位工作人員在接受環(huán)球時報采訪時表示，在選擇領養(yǎng)人時，領養(yǎng)機構通常會把孩子的利益放在首位，這也是唯一的要求。他說，“我們唯一的目標，唯一的期望就是，我們的孩子能適應外國的生活。”

They refused to comment, however, on whether there was any ban on same-sex parentsadopting.

On the center website's Q&A page for foreign adopters, one entry clearly states that thecenter will not look for adoptees for same-sex couples.

在該中心關于異國領養(yǎng)的問題咨詢頁面上，有一條明確指出，該中心將不會尋找同性戀夫婦作為收養(yǎng)人。

China's marriage law only accepts families formed by heterosexual couples, and homosexualfamilies are not protected by law, the statement says, claiming that The Criteria for theClassification and Diagnosis of Mental Disorders in China lists homosexuality as a psychosexualdisorder.

該聲明指出，中國的婚姻法只接受異性夫婦組成的家庭，同性戀家庭不受法律保護，并聲稱在中國精神障礙分類與診斷標準清單中，同性戀被作為一種心理障礙。

The statement also says that China's "traditional morality and customs" considerhomosexuality an act against social norms and that since China's Adoption Law has a principlethat an adoption should not go against social morality, foreign same-sex couples cannotadopt children in China.

該聲明還稱，中國的“傳統(tǒng)道德和習俗”認為同性戀是違背社會公德的行為，中國的收養(yǎng)法則規(guī)定，收養(yǎng)不能違背社會公德，故外國同性戀者不能收養(yǎng)中國兒童。
