失戀后男人比女人更痛苦

　　But a study has found that, contrary to popular belief, when a relationship is in trouble it is men who suffer the most.

　　但是一項研究表明，和大眾的想法正相反，當一段愛情關系出現(xiàn)麻煩時，男人比女人要更加痛苦。

　　Romantic ups and downs apparently have a greater effect on the mental health of young men than women.

　　很明顯浪漫愛情的起起伏伏對男人在精神的影響比女人要多。

While women are more likely to display their depression to friends, men are more likely to store up their feelings - with negative health effects including making them more likely to drink alcohol.

　　女人們很可能把自己的壓抑訴說給朋友們，但男人則會深藏起自己的情感，這樣就會對健康造成如同酗酒一樣惡劣的影響。

Professor Robin Simon, who led the study, admitted she was shocked that the results overturned the widespread assumption that women are more vulnerable to the emotional rollercoaster of relationships.

　'Surprisingly, we found young men are more reactive to the quality of ongoing relationships,' she said. That means men's mental health is more affected by the harmful stress of a rocky relationship.

　　她說：”奇怪的是，我們發(fā)現(xiàn)年輕男子在進行中的愛情質量會反應更加激烈，那就意味著男性的精神健康更會被一段堅固感情中的壓力所影響。

　　The researchers also found that men get greater emotional benefits from the positive aspects of an ongoing romance. This contradicts the stereotypical image of stoic men who are unaffected by what happens in their relationships.

　　研究者也發(fā)現(xiàn)男人也會從進行中的浪漫愛情中情感上可以得到更多的快樂。但是如果那種無論對愛情中發(fā)生什么都不在意的男人就不會出現(xiàn)這種情況。
