A: I can't believe you're so calm, given the fact that you just lost another day off. But this time, I'll just go to him and ask him for a raise!

A：我真不敢相信你這么冷靜，畢竟你也是剛又少了一天假期。這次我會去找他，并且要求他加薪！

B: If you think he's going to give in, you might as well save your breath. He'll never do it.

B：如果你認為他會屈服，那你最好省省力氣。他永遠不會屈服的。

A: Then I'll make sure to let him know I'm fed up with doing extra work for no pay. I'm going to stand up for my rights.

A：那我一定要讓他知道，我受夠了無償加班。我要捍衛(wèi)自己的權(quán)利。

B: He'll hold a grudge against you, or even worse, he may give you the sack. Just let it go.

B：那他會對你懷恨在心，甚至更糟，他可能會因此解雇你。所以算了吧。

A: So the solution is to just butter him up and agree with everything he does?

A：所以解決辦法就是奉承他，同意他做的一切？

B: No, of course not. But for the time being it's better not to say anything, maybe he will pay for our extra work after all. Nine times out of ten, you act first and then figure things out.

B：不，當然不是。不過暫時最好什么都不要說，也許他最終會為我們的加班付錢。大多數(shù)情況下你都不會在行動之前先思考。
