B: Sometimes I get bored with my school work and wish there was something on campus to do.

B：有時(shí)我對(duì)學(xué)校的功課感到厭倦，希望校園里能有事可做。

A: Is there anything you like better in the US than in Spain?

A：美國(guó)有什么比西班牙更讓你喜歡的地方嗎？

B: I've had fun taking long road trips. There are some beautiful places in the US that I didn't know

about. One of my friends lives in New York, she took me home with her when we had a study break. I was fascinated by the beautiful mountains we drove through. I was a little nervous about meeting her family though.

B：我喜歡長(zhǎng)途旅行。美國(guó)有一些我不知道的美麗地方。我的一個(gè)朋友住在紐約，我們學(xué)習(xí)休息時(shí)，她帶我回家。我們開車經(jīng)過的美麗山脈讓我著迷。不過，我有點(diǎn)緊張，不敢和她的家人見面。

A: Did it go okay?

B: Yes, actually it turned out that her mother is married to a Spanish man.

A: Wow, what a coincidence.

B: He cooked some seafood paella for us, it's hard to find that in the US. I was grateful for some familiar food.

A: I'm sure it's been tough at times, living in another country must be challenging, with so many things you're not used to.

B: Sometimes it is, but most people are polite and friendly to me. I'm feeling really optimistic about the next six months.

A: I'm glad to hear that. I've been very impressed by you, you're really excellent at English. I know you must be annoyed at the way we do things here at times, but you act very patiently with everyone.
