　there be 結(jié)構(gòu)中的名詞主語通常有4種情況，be動詞 的單復(fù)數(shù)要根據(jù)名詞主語而定。

1　名詞主語為單數(shù)，be動詞 用單數(shù)。

There is a table in the corner. 角落上有一張桌子。

There is a pair of shoes on the floor. 地板上有一雙鞋。

2　名詞主語為復(fù)數(shù)，be動詞 用復(fù)數(shù)。

There were several fights in the street yesterday. 昨天街上發(fā)生了好幾起打斗事件。

There are many books on the desk. 桌子上有許多書。

3　名詞主語為兩個或兩個以上并列的名詞，而第一個名詞為單數(shù)，這時，be 動詞一般用單數(shù)，但也可用復(fù)數(shù)。

There is/are a pen and three books on the desk. 桌子上有1支鋼筆和3本書。

4　名詞主語為兩個或兩個以上并列的名詞，而第一個名詞為復(fù)數(shù)，無論按照“接近原則”還是“語法一致原則”，be動詞都 要用復(fù)數(shù)。一般來講，“接近原則”多用于口語體，而“語法一致原則”多用于書面語體。此外，here be 結(jié)構(gòu)也當(dāng)同樣處理。
