462　prefer和like

1　prefer 是及物動(dòng)詞，表示“寧愿，更喜歡”，有選擇比較的意味，后必須跟賓語，有下面幾種結(jié)構(gòu)：

prefer sth. to sth.=like sth. better than sth.: 同……相比更喜歡……

prefer to do sth.: 寧愿／喜歡干某事 （表示特定的具體的某次動(dòng)作 ）

prefer doing sth. to doing sth.: 同……相比更喜歡干某事 （表示一般傾向或習(xí)慣 ）

prefer to do sth. rather than do sth.: 寧愿干某事，而不愿干某事

I prefer tea to coffee. 茶和咖啡相比我更喜歡喝茶。（=I like tea better than coffee.）

He prefers taking a walk after supper. 他喜歡晚飯后散散步。

I prefer to go swimming this afternoon. 我寧愿今天下午去游泳。

I prefer to walk there rather than take a bus. 我寧愿步行去那里，也不愿乘公交車。

2　like 表示一般性的“喜歡，愛好”。

I like fishing. 我喜歡釣魚。
