439　listen, hear, hear of, hear from和sound

1　listen 指有意識地傾聽，表示“聽”這一動作，但不一定聽見什么；hear 指“聽見，聽到”，不一定是有意識地聽，強(qiáng)調(diào)聽的結(jié)果。listen 是不及物動詞，后跟賓語時要用listen to 結(jié)構(gòu)；hear 是及物動詞，后直接跟名詞或代詞作賓語。

She listened but heard nothing. 她注意聽了，但什么也沒聽見。

They are listening to the man but they can't hear him clearly. 他們在聽那人講話，但卻聽不清楚。

I heard a loud noise. 我聽見一聲巨響。

I listen to her playing a piece of Chopin on the piano. 我傾聽她用鋼琴彈奏肖邦的一首曲子。

提示

listen和hear還有相似的用法，表示有意識地“聽，傾聽”。

I listen to/hear the 7 o'clock news every morning. 我每天早晨都聽7點(diǎn)鐘的新聞。

You'd better listen to/hear what they have to say. 你最好聽聽他們有什么話要說。

2　hear 可用于下列結(jié)構(gòu)：

hear+that 從句

hear+賓語+不定式 （表示聽見某個動作的過程或完成 ）

hear+賓語+現(xiàn)在分詞 （表示聽見某個動作正在進(jìn)行 ）

I hear that he lives with his mother. 我聽說他同母親住在一起。

I hear him read English every morning. 我每天早晨都聽見他讀英語 。

I hear him reading English in the room. 我聽見他正在房間里讀英語 。

提示

see, watch等后用不定式或分詞作賓語補(bǔ)足語時也都有這種區(qū)別。

hear 還常同介詞連用，構(gòu)成固定短語，主要有：hear of/ about 聽說過（某人或某事）

hear from 收到……的來信 （相當(dāng)于get a letter from）

I don't know the teacher, but I have heard of him. 我不認(rèn)識這位老師，但是我聽說過他。

I have never heard of the name. 我從沒聽說過這個名字。

I heard about it last week. 我是上周聽說這件事的。

I haven't heard from her for a month. 我1個月沒收到她的信了。

How often does he hear from his son? 他隔多長時間收到他兒子的來信？

4　sound 作動詞時表示“聽上去，聽起來”，通常用作系動詞，后接形容詞。

His voice sounds strange. 他的聲音聽起來很奇怪。

The plan sounds interesting. 這個計劃聽起來很有趣。
