366　cost, price, expense和charge

1　cost 通常指物品的成本或生活費用，有時也指價格；可用于比喻，指“代價”。

The production cost has kept rising. 生產成本一直在上漲。

The cost of living is much higher now than it was two years ago. 生活費用比兩年前高多了。

2　price 指商品的售價。

Eggs are sold at a high price now. 現(xiàn)在雞蛋售價很高。

House prices have been falling. 房價在下跌。

What price are apples this week? 本周蘋果價格如何？

3　expense 作“花費”解時，為抽象名詞，其復數(shù)形式expenses，意為“費用，支出”。

I bought a new computer at my own expense . 我自己花錢買了一臺新電腦。

I shall pay your traveling expenses . 你的旅行費用由我付。

4　charge 指索取的費用，尤其對提供的服務索取的費用。

There is no charge for delivery. 運送是免費的。

These are additional charges . 這些是額外的費用。
