317　road, street, path和highway

1　road 通常指城鎮(zhèn)間有汽車通行的大路。

The road is crowded with cars. 路上擠滿了車。

Keep to the right side of the road . 靠路右邊走。

They will build a new road to the airport. 他們將修建一條通往機(jī)場(chǎng)的新公路。

2　street 指“大街，街道”，兩側(cè)有建筑物、商店等。

The bookstore is on the corner of the street . 書店在街道的拐角處。

Be careful when you go across the street . 過街時(shí)要小心。

3　path 意為“小路，小徑”，尤指田野、林間、山中人或動(dòng)物踩成的小路。

He followed the path down to the lake. 他沿著小路來到湖邊。

The path leads to the tower at the hilltop. 這條小徑通往山頂上的那座塔。

4　highway 指大的或主要的“路，公路”，如省道，國道，多用于英國。

Our car is running down the highway . 我們的車正沿著公路疾馳。

An accident happened on highway 318. 318公路上發(fā)生了一起事故。
