連詞 正誤速辨

1　一直往前走，你就可以找到書店。

誤 　Go right ahead, so you will find the bookstore.

正 　Go right ahead and you will find the bookstore.

正 　If you go right ahead, you will find the bookstore.

評 　“祈使句+and+陳述句”結(jié)構(gòu)中，祈使句表示條件，相當于if引導的從句，陳述句表示結(jié)果。

2　我走進房間的時候，他們正在看電視。

誤 　While I went into the room, they were watching TV.

正 　When I went into the room, they were watching TV.

評 　while引導從句的動作只能用延續(xù)性動詞，強調(diào)從句動作與主句動作同時發(fā)生。when引導從句的動作可以與主句動作同時發(fā)生，也可先于主句動作發(fā)生。

3　努力學習吧，不然你會落后的。

誤 　Study hard and you'll lack behind.

正 　Study hard, or you'll lack behind.

評 　“祈使句+or/or else+陳述句”表示否定條件，這種結(jié)構(gòu)中的祈使句，相當于if引導的否定句。

4　吉姆既聰明又誠實。

誤 　Jim is clever or honest.

正 　Jim is clever and honest.

評 　肯定的并列成分用and連接，否定的并列成分用or連接。

5　他有五六本英語書。

誤 　He has five, six English books.

正 　He has five or six English books.

評 　漢語中的“五六本書”，“八九天”，“兩三年”等，譯為英語時兩數(shù)詞間要加or。

6　他英語說得同英國人一樣好。

誤 　He speaks English as well like an Englishman.

正 　He speaks English as well as an Englishman.

評 　表示“和……一樣”用as...as，為同級比較，第一個as為副詞，第二個as為連詞，其后的句子常用省略句。

7　我們已經(jīng)植了480棵樹。

正 　We have planted four hundred eighty trees.

正 　We have planted four hundred and eighty trees.

評 　表示數(shù)字時，百位數(shù)與十位數(shù)之間要加連詞and，但在美式英語中，and往往省略。

8　我不知道雨什么時候開始下的。

誤 　I don't know that when it began to rain.

正 　I don't know when it began to rain.

評 　when,how, why, where, how many, how much和how long本身就可以引導賓語從句，不可再加that。

9　樹、鳥、水等都是名詞。

誤 　Tree, bird, water and etc . are nouns.

正 　Tree, bird, water, etc . are nouns.

評 　etc.意為“等等”，已含有and的含義，前面不可再加and。

10　這支鋼筆既不是張明的，也不是李紅的。

誤 　This pen isn't neither Zhang Ming's nor Li Hong's.

正 　This pen is neither Zhang Ming's nor Li Hong's.

評 　neither...nor意為“既不……也不……”，本身就表示否定，故謂語動詞要用肯定式。

11　那人身高6英尺3英寸。

誤 　The man is six feet and three inches tall.

正 　The man is six feet three inches tall.

評 　表示人的身高的數(shù)詞間不加and。
