1　most 作形容詞，表示“大多數(shù)的，大部分的”，用作定語(yǔ)，后跟復(fù)數(shù)名詞，指一般的或泛指的人或物。這時(shí)，most 前不可用定冠詞the。

Most people like to watch TV.（正） 大多數(shù)人都喜歡看電視 。

The most people like to watch TV. （誤）

Most students are fond of sports.（正） 大部分學(xué)生喜愛(ài)運(yùn)動(dòng) 。

2　most 作名詞，表示“大多數(shù)，大部分”，表示特指的人或物。結(jié)構(gòu)為：

most of+代詞賓格

most of+限定詞+名詞 （限定詞可以是定冠詞、指示代詞或形容詞性物主代詞 ）

作名詞用的most 可以表示單數(shù)，也可以表示復(fù)數(shù)，取決于of后的名詞。如果most of 后的名詞或代詞是復(fù)數(shù)，謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞就用復(fù)數(shù)；如果most of 后是單數(shù)名詞或不可數(shù)名詞，謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞就用單數(shù)。另外，這種用法的most 前不可加the。
