91　afraid和anxious

1　afraid 表示“害怕，恐懼”，afraid 通常屬于個人性質，害怕身體受到傷害，還表示輕微的顧慮。

She's afraid of dogs. 她怕狗。

He was so afraid that his face turned pale. 他嚇得面色蒼白。

I'm afraid a quarrel is inevitable. 恐怕一場爭吵難以避免。

2　anxious 表示“憂慮的，擔心的”，還表示“渴望的，急切的”。

She was anxious about the children. 她為孩子們擔心。

We are all anxious about/for his safety. 我們都為他的安全而憂慮。

He is anxious to please his guests. 他很想討客人們歡心。
