79　first, firstly和at first

1　first 可作序數(shù)詞、形容詞，意為“第一（的），最初（的）”；first 作副詞表示“首先”，反義詞是last 。

Who was first ？誰第一？

She is the first girl to come. 她是第一個(gè)來的女孩。

I'll do my homework first after school. 我放學(xué)后將先做作業(yè)。

提示

①first放在名詞前作定語時(shí)，前面要加the；first作副詞或單獨(dú)作表語時(shí)，不加冠詞，見上例。

②first還可用作名詞。

The first of August is Army's Day. 8月1號(hào)是建軍節(jié)。

She was the first in the match. 她是這場(chǎng)比賽的冠軍。

2　firstly 是副詞，意為“第一，首先”，主要用于列舉，常與secondly/ second, lastly/ last連用。

Firstly , I believe you are right. 首先，我相信你是對(duì)的。

3　at first 意為“起先，開始”，相當(dāng)于at the beginning 。
