60　its, it's和he's

1　its 是it 的物主代詞，既可以作形容詞性物主代詞，意為“它的”，用作定語，后跟名詞，也可以作名詞性物主代詞，相當于its+名詞，用作主語、賓語等。

The table has lost one of its legs. 這張桌子掉了一條腿。

The sun gives its light and the moon reflects its . 太陽發(fā)光，月亮反光。

2　it's 是it is 的縮寫形式，也可以是it has 的縮寫形式，與its 完全不同。

This is my watch. It's a Swiss one. 這是我的手表，它是瑞士造的。

It's a bird. （正）那是一只鳥 。（=It is...）

Its a bird. （誤）

It's rained for a whole day. （正）雨整整下了一天 。（=It has rained...）

Its rained for a whole day. （誤）

提示

①注意下面的縮寫式：she's=she is或she has, he's=he is或he has, that's=that is或that has, who's=who is或who has, what's=what is或what has, where's=where is或where has。

②注意，this is不可縮寫為this's。
