1.在客人用完餐后,一般要等客人告知要付賬時,服務員方可遞交并結算賬單。不可著急催促客人結賬,即要等客人如下說時,服務員再上前。
Could we have the check, please? 我們想要結賬。
Hello, can I have my bill? 你好,請把我的賬單拿來。
I'd like to pay for the bill. 我想現在結賬。
2.在付款時,無論客人是以哪種方式付款,只要是相關規(guī)定允許的,都應欣然接受。若無法接受,也應及時禮貌地告知并說明餐廳規(guī)定。如:
I'm sorry we don't accept credit cards. 對不起,我們不接受信用卡。
No, I'm sorry we don't. We accept credit cards and cash. 對不起,我們不收。我們只收信用卡和現金。
若顧客是一行幾個人,在結賬的時候要問清是一起結還是分開結。如:
How would you like to have your bill, a bill for three or a bill for each? 請問你們要怎么結賬?三人合起來結還是分開結?
We would like to pay separately. 我們想要分開結賬。
3.若遇到客人對某些賬目有疑問的情形,服務員務必要客氣而耐心地解釋說明,以消除客人的疑慮。如:
Would you mind explaining this to me? What is No.4? 請給我解釋一下這個,你不介意吧?第四項是什么?
Of course, not. Let me see... No. 4 is the main course and it is 38, not 33. 當然不介意。讓我看看······ 第四項是主菜,是38元,不是33元。
但若是餐廳或服務員自身的錯誤,則應及時道歉并彌補。如:
I think there is a mistake in the bill. 我覺得賬單上有一些錯誤。
Let me see. I am very sorry, sir. I have taken the wrong bill, and I will change it now. 讓我看一下。很抱歉先生,我拿錯賬單了,我現在就去把您的賬單給拿過來。
