1. 同位語從句的用法

同位語從句用于對前面的名詞做進一步解釋，說明名詞的具體內(nèi)容。同位語從句一般由that引導，但也可以由whether以及連接代詞和連接副詞引導。一般跟在名詞fact, hope, idea, news, doubt, suggestion, information, opinion, decision, discovery, truth, promise, statement, problem, rule等名詞后面。

The news that we are having a holiday tomorrow is not true. 我們明天放假的消息不實。

The question whether it is right or wrong depends on the result.

這個問題是對還是錯要看結(jié)果。

Have you any idea what time it starts? 你知道什么時候開始嗎?

注意

① 引導同位語從句的連詞that通常不省略。

② 在某些名詞demand, wish, suggestion, resolution等后面的同位語從句要用虛擬語氣，謂語動詞用“should+動詞原形”的形式，should可省略。

The suggestion that the new rule（should）be adopted came from the chairman.

采納新規(guī)則的建議是主席提出的。

③ 有時同位語從句可以和同位的名詞分開。

The news got about that he had won a car in the lottery.

他中彩得了一輛汽車的消息傳開了。

2. that引導的同位語從句和定語從句的區(qū)別

在同位語從句中，that只起連接主句和從句的作用，無意義，在從句中不充當句子成分，一般不可省略。在定語從句中，that指代先行詞，在從句中不僅起連接作用，還充當某個句子成分，在作賓語時通?？墒÷?。

They were all shocked at the news that Germany had declared war on Russia.

他們都對德國向俄國宣戰(zhàn)的消息感到震驚。

（同位語從句，that只起引導作用，在句中不充當任何成分。）

They were all shocked at the news that was announced on the radio.

聽到收音機里宣布的消息，他們都很震驚。

（定語從句，that在從句中作主語，若省略that，句子成分不完整。）

The news（that）we heard spread all over the school campus.

我們聽到的消息傳遍了校園。（定語從句）

The news that Mr. Li will be our new English teacher is true.

李老師將成為我們的新英語老師這個消息是真的。（同位語從句）
