第四十六課 圍攻城堡(二）
With patient courage, strengthened by the interval which she had employed in mental devotion, Rebecca again took post at the lattice;

They pull down the piles and palisades; they hew down the barriers with axes.
他們把樁和柵欄都推倒了；他們用斧頭砍下了所有的障礙物。
His high black plume floats abroad over the throng, like a raven over the field of the slain.
他那高高的黑色的羽毛漂浮在人群外，像被大屠殺領域里的一只烏鴉。
They have made a breach in the barriers—they rush in—they are thrust back!
他們在這些障礙物中開辟了一條道路——他們沖進來了——他們又退回去了！
Front-de-Boeuf heads the defenders; I see his gigantic form above the press.
Front-de-Boeuf向敵人沖去；我在這壓迫中看到了他巨大的形體。
They throng again to the breach, and the pass is disputed hand to hand, and man to man.
