1.“as it is”的意思是“事實(shí)上”，相當(dāng)于“in fact”。例如：I'm not buying the children anything else today - I've spent far too much money as it is.（今天我不準(zhǔn)備給孩子們買其他什么東西了——事實(shí)上我已經(jīng)花了很多錢了。）
2.“A woman can never have too many sweaters.”這句話很容易誤譯成“一個(gè)女人永遠(yuǎn)都不會(huì)有太多的毛衣”，其正確的翻譯應(yīng)是“一個(gè)女人有再多的毛衣也不會(huì)嫌多”。例如：My wife will never be too satisfied with my salary.（我妻子對(duì)我的薪水遠(yuǎn)都不太滿意。）

這家公司的技術(shù)負(fù)責(zé)人表示，對(duì)于愛美的女士來(lái)說(shuō)，不管是她的親友因?yàn)樘]有時(shí)間陪她逛街，還是她在異地試穿新衣，這種鏡子都可以使她及時(shí)得到親友的參考意見。“你的母親可能在巴黎，而你卻在紐約，但她依然可以看到你試穿婚紗的樣子。”
此外，顧客甚至不需要親自試穿衣服，便可以知道試穿的虛擬效果。這種鏡子一共由3部分組成，除了中間的鏡面以外，左邊有一塊觸摸屏，里面存儲(chǔ)了商店里所有衣服的信息，顧客可以進(jìn)行虛擬試穿，試穿效果則會(huì)呈現(xiàn)在中間的鏡面上；右邊的屏幕則為顧客提供了可能喜歡的鞋子和飾物的資料。
