The World Health Organization has warned countries in the north Hemisphere that they need to do far more to combat the coronavirus over the coming winter. Dr. Mike Ryan, the head of the WHO's Emergencies Program, said that the disease wasn't going away.

The British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said the country is now seeing a second wave of Covid-19. But the government still wants to avoid another full-scale lockdown. The estimated daily increase in new cases in Britain has doubled within a month.

The Spanish authorities are tightening restrictions in the worst infected areas of Madrid from Monday to tackle a spike in infections. Some 850.000 people will be infected. The Netherlands has also warned the virus is making the comeback.

Mr. Vizcarra said his conscience was clear and he wouldn't be coward. He is accused of misusing public funds and lying as a part of a cover-up.

The Swedish climate change activist Greta Thunberg has told to her supporters that even doing their best was no longer good enough, as they prepare to revive Friday protests next week. She said the people must do the seemingly impossible to bring climate change under control.
