這些線索可以是：
1）定語(yǔ)從句中的動(dòng)詞。這是主要線索，所選介詞需要與動(dòng)詞搭配。 （最常見）
a.The buzzard can watch high in the sky the ground for signs of the waste and the dead animals on which it feeds . (...animals which it feeds on .)
禿鷹可以從高空中往地上搜尋它們要吃的垃圾和動(dòng)物尸體。
b.It was luck again, according to Nina, that brought her the role in Mute Wife for which she is best known .
尼娜認(rèn)為，這次又是“幸運(yùn)”讓她在《啞巴妻子》這部劇中擔(dān)任角色，她正是以此劇為人們所熟知。
c.This is the shop of which I often speak to you.
這就是我常常同你提起的那個(gè)店鋪。
d.He is the man on whom I think you can depend .
我認(rèn)為他是你可以依靠的人。
e.The goal for which he had fought all his life no longer seemed important to him.
他畢生為之奮斗的目標(biāo)現(xiàn)在對(duì)他來說似乎并不重要了。
f.The girl with whom you work is his girlfriend.

h.We must preserve the freedoms for which our ancestors fought .
2）定語(yǔ)從句中的形容詞。所選介詞與形容詞構(gòu)成短語(yǔ)。 （比較常見）
a.When they come back from Spain, they will pass along their fresh impressions to the groups in which they are active .
他們回國(guó)后會(huì)把對(duì)西班牙的新鮮印象與自己積極參與的幾個(gè)小組內(nèi)的成員進(jìn)行交流。
b.We assume that the meanings of these underwater sounds are similar to those with which we are familiar on land.
據(jù)我們推測(cè)，這些水底聲音的意義同我們所熟悉的陸地上的聲音的意義相似。
c.Dolphins might be trained to cooperate with fishermen and help them by finding, tracking, herding, or even catching fish... in all of which activities dolphins are expert .

3）定語(yǔ)從句中的名詞。所選介詞需要與名詞搭配，如attention to。 （較少用）
