第四，我們可以說hit out at sb/sth. In English, it means "to attack sb or sth by violently criticizing them". 中文意思是猛烈地抨擊。我們通過下面的例句來熟悉這個習語的意思:

In a rousing speech the President hit out on the trade union.主席在一次言辭激烈的講話中對工會進行了嚴厲的批評. He made a speech hitting out at racial discrimination. 他做了一次猛烈抨擊種族歧視的講演。

Hit out at sb or sth除了有“猛烈地抨擊”的意思之外，還有“猛烈地進攻”的意思。我們開看下面的例句：

After playing himself in carefully, Smith began to hit out at the looser balls. 認真地作好準備后，史密斯開始猛擊球，不再怕丟分。In short, it is undesirable to hit out in all directions and cause nation-wide tension. 四面出擊,全國緊張,很不好。

第五、我們可以說jump on sb。In English, it means "to criticize sb". 中文意思是批評責備某人。我們來看下面的例句來熟悉這個習語的意思。

His boss will jump on every little mistake he makes, no matter how trivial. 哪怕是出了再小的差錯，老板也會對他橫加斥責。Why is it, doctor, that I am always so nervy, tense and ready to jump on anybody ... 大夫，為什么我總是感到神經(jīng)質(zhì)、緊張、愛發(fā)脾氣 ...

Jump on 出了上面的批評責備的意思，還有“撲向”的意思。我們來看下面的例子：I have to go jump on a conference call. 我得去開個電話會議。Mr. Smith got the jump on us by seeing the manager before we did. 史密斯先生比我們先見了經(jīng)理，占了我們的上風。
