Last time we learned a sentence pattern which is : It is important that S should do. 意思是：做某事很重要。主語(yǔ)從句that S should do中使用了虛擬語(yǔ)氣，因?yàn)橹骶渲泻衖mportant 這個(gè)形容詞。In addition, "should" can be left out. 我們還引申出了一個(gè)句型，是：It is important to somebody that S should do. We should pay attention to the preposition "to", instead of not using "for".

And some translation exercises were left last time that need you to translate it in different ways , which is a little difficult and I am about to let the answers to them out in the open.

【EXERCISE I】對(duì)于我們來(lái)說(shuō)，遵照廠(chǎng)家的說(shuō)明很重要。

【TRANSLATION 1】It is very important that we (should) follow the manufacturer's instructions.

【TRANSLATION 2】It is very important to us that the manufacturer's instructions (should)be followed.

【TRANSLATION 3】It is very important for us to follow the manufacturer's instructions

【TRANSLATION 4】The importance is that we (should) follow the manufacturer's instructions.

【TRANSLATION 5】We must pay attention to the importance (that) the manufacturer's instructions(should)be followed.

【喇叭】注意翻譯3中的主語(yǔ)從句中使用be;翻譯1和2的狀語(yǔ)中使用介詞to; 翻譯3中的狀語(yǔ)使用介詞for.

【點(diǎn)評(píng)】第一句和第二句使用主語(yǔ)從句翻譯，不同的是第一句中的主語(yǔ)從句使用的是主動(dòng)語(yǔ)態(tài)，第二句中的主語(yǔ)從句使用的是被動(dòng)語(yǔ)態(tài)。第三句使用動(dòng)詞不定式進(jìn)行翻譯，第四句使用表語(yǔ)從句進(jìn)行翻譯，注意含有表語(yǔ)從句的復(fù)合句中的主句的主語(yǔ)是importance的話(huà)，表語(yǔ)從句要使用虛擬語(yǔ)氣，即謂語(yǔ)形式為：should + 動(dòng)詞原形， that不能省略，但是should可以省略。翻譯5是使用同位語(yǔ)從句進(jìn)行翻譯，如果同位詞是importance的話(huà)，那么從句中也要使用虛擬語(yǔ)氣，即謂語(yǔ)形式為：should do. 在同位語(yǔ)從句中that 和should都可以省略。

【EXERCISE II】她吃這種藥對(duì)她的身體很重要。

【TRANSLATION 1】It is vital to her health that she (should) take this medicine.

【TRANSLATION 2】It is vital to her that this medicine ( should ) be taken for her health .

【TRANSLATION 3】It is vital for her to take this medicine.

【TRANSLATION 4】For her health the importance is that she should take this medicine.

【點(diǎn)評(píng)】翻譯1中我們可以看到狀語(yǔ)是：to something. 那么我們可知，在這類(lèi)句型中的狀語(yǔ)可以是to somebody, 也可以是to something,但是to somebody強(qiáng)調(diào)的是人，而to something則強(qiáng)調(diào)的是物。如翻譯1中強(qiáng)調(diào)的是“身體健康”這個(gè)狀況，而不是“工作順利”這個(gè)狀況，而翻譯2中強(qiáng)調(diào)的是“她”這個(gè)人，而不是強(qiáng)調(diào)“別人”。翻譯方式同第一道習(xí)題。
