Last time we learned a sentence pattern which is : If it had not been for, S wouldn't ( couldn't might not ) have done. 這個句子是表示過去某人或某事要不是如何，在過去就不會有那樣的結(jié)果【習(xí)題答案】

1 要不是有你及時的幫助，我們會陷入嚴(yán)重的困境。

【正常語序】If it hadn't been for your timely help, we would have gotten into serious trouble.

【倒裝語序】Had it not for your timely help, we would have gotten into serious trouble.

2 要不是你當(dāng)時及時控制住了你的情緒，你或許會做出傻事兒出來。

【正常語序】If it hadn't been your getting a hold of yourself, you might have done something dangerous and regretful.

【倒裝語序】Had it not been for your getting a hold of yourself, you might have done something dangerous and regretful.

3 要不是有他們的支持，我們是不會獲得選舉的。

【正常語序】If it hadn't been for their support , we couldn't have won the election.

【倒裝語序】Had it not been for their support, we couldn't have won the election.

4 要不是你當(dāng)年不努力讀書，你那時就不是國家公務(wù)員了，而是農(nóng)民了。

【正常語序】If it hadn't been your hitting the books, you wouldn't have been a public servant instead of a peasant.

Please look at the following sentence: If you had taken her advice, you wouldn't be in such trouble now. 如果那時你聽了她的勸告，你現(xiàn)在就不會陷入這么大的麻煩了。

We can see : 主句的謂語動詞用的是過去將來時，表示那個動作發(fā)生在現(xiàn)在，而從句的謂語則用的是過去完成時，表示那個動作發(fā)生在過去。

The above sentence is a Conditional Sentences of Mixed Time. 上面提及的句子稱為“錯綜條件句”。錯綜條件句就是主句和從句的動作發(fā)生的時間不一致，那么這是我們就要根據(jù)主句和從句中各自的動作發(fā)生的時間做調(diào)整。

If the weather had been more favorable, the crops would be growing still better. 如果前些日子天氣好的話，莊稼現(xiàn)在就會長得更好。該句中從句用的是過去完成時had been，主句用的是過去將來進(jìn)行時:would be growing。此句話言外之意就是：The weather wasn't favorable a few days ago and it is just so-so that the crops is growing now. 前些日子天氣不好，莊稼現(xiàn)在生長還行。

If he had received six more votes, he would be our chairman now. 如果他那時多得六票，他現(xiàn)在就是我們的主席了。改句話中，從句用的是過去完成時：had received, 這就示意這該動作發(fā)生在過去，主句用的是過去將來時：would be這就示意這該動作發(fā)生在現(xiàn)在. 此句話言外之意就是：He didn't receive six more votes and he isn't our chairman now. 他沒有多獲得6票因此他現(xiàn)在不是我們主席。

So from today's example sentences, we can get tow typical sentence patterns: 1 If S had done, S would be doing. 2 If S had done, S would do. 第一個句式是假設(shè)過去的情況是那樣的話，現(xiàn)在就正在進(jìn)行這這個動作。

第二個句式就是假設(shè)過去的情況是那樣的話，現(xiàn)在就是這樣的狀況。

在錯綜條件句中，要特別注意時間狀語。句子中必須給出明確的時間狀語或是通過上下文中可以看得出明顯的時間狀語，否則就按照我們前10多期的句型中的謂語形式套用。
