詞組講解

1. make up for sth. *** 補(bǔ)償，賠償，彌補(bǔ)

例 What's amazing is the ingenuity the Sarajevo residents have shown in coming up with ways to make up for the loss of basic necessities: beds made from gutted refrigerators, tea kettles made from discarded artillery casings and wine distilleries pieced together from used hospital intravenous bottles and tubes are just a few examples.

2. make up / make up with sb. *** 和解，言歸于好
