詞組講解

1. go to bat for sb. ** 不遺余力地幫助某人

解 〈口〉習語；詞義溯源：［為了或支持（for）］某人去［猛擊、擊球（bat）］

例 Ask Mr. Cai to talk to the general manager for you. He likes you. I think he'd go to bat for you if you asked him. Tell him all about the problem you're having getting permission to get a couple of days off for your wedding and I'm sure he'll try his best for you.
