1. It is time (high time, about time) that ... should/did ... (從句用虛擬語氣)

It is time for sb. to do sth.

It is time for us to go to school.

我們該上學(xué)去了。

It is high time that you made up your mind to study hard at your lessons.

你們早該下定決心努力學(xué)習(xí)功課了。

2. It is/has been+一段時間+since ...“自從……時候以來已經(jīng)多久了”

It is three years since we began to learn English.

自從我們開始學(xué)英語到現(xiàn)在已經(jīng)三年了。

3. It was/will be+long/一段時間+before ...“過了很久/將過很久才……”

It wasn't/won't be long before ...“過不了多久就會……”

It was three days before he came back safe and sound from abroad.

過了三天他才從國外平平安安地回來了。

4. It was+時間點+when ...

It was 12 o'clock when he went to bed last night.

昨天夜里他睡覺去的時候已經(jīng)是12點了。

5. It is the first (second, third ...) time that +現(xiàn)在完成時

It is the third time that we have been here to visit our old friends.

這是我們第三次來這里拜訪我們的老朋友了。

6. It is up to sb. to do sth.“應(yīng)由某人做某事”

It is up to you to decide when we should have the sports meeting.

由你決定我們何時舉行運動會。

7. It seems (appears, looks) as if ....“看起來好像/似乎……”

It seems as if she has changed her mind that she will buy a car next week.

似乎她已經(jīng)改變了下周要買車的主意。
