英語美文朗讀 第315期 It Is Going To Be All Worth It

What is it that you want out of life? What is it? We all want something. What is yours? Visualize that thing you deeply want and now ask yourself. How can I get it? When you visualize success against your fears, your mind starts subconsciously building the will and the skills you'll need to achieve the results.

 

在人生中，你想得到什么？什么是你想要的？我們都有自己想要的東西，你想要的是什么？認(rèn)真地想象這個(gè)東西，然后問自己，怎樣才能得到它？當(dāng)你想象成功，并擊退恐懼的時(shí)候，你的大腦正在默默地強(qiáng)化你的意志，為你準(zhǔn)備好實(shí)現(xiàn)這些目標(biāo)所需的技能。

 

When you know and can visualize what it is you want, you have to prepare for it. You have to think long term and then educate yourself. But more importantly you have to practice. Practice and prepare for the steps that are to come in achieving your goals. Chances are, you're not going to be lucky or win the lottery. But if you work hard and you never give up, then you will succeed.

當(dāng)你知道了你想要什么，并且想象過它，那么你就要為它做準(zhǔn)備了。你必須目光長遠(yuǎn)，不斷提升自己。但更重要的是，你必須不斷練習(xí)。練習(xí)，給接下來為了實(shí)現(xiàn)目標(biāo)而要做的事情打下基礎(chǔ)。有可能你不會(huì)很幸運(yùn)，也不會(huì)中大獎(jiǎng)，但是如果你努力奮斗，永不言棄，那么你就會(huì)成功。

 

It was Thomas Jefferson who said, I find that the harder I work, the more luck I seem to have. Put in the work. And you can be guaranteed that you will have a breakthrough from that situation you're dealing with. And if ever you fail, dust yourself off and try again. In the 1920s when a journalist asked Thomas Edison how it felt to fail 1,000 times in his attempt to invent the incandescent light bulb, he replied, I didn't fail 1,000 times. The light bulb was an invention with a thousand steps. That is the strength of will power and the desire to never quit when failing.

托馬斯杰佛遜說過，我發(fā)現(xiàn)，我越努力，就越幸運(yùn)。按照這句話說的去做吧！能確定的是，你會(huì)從目前的現(xiàn)狀中獲得突破和自我提升。如果你失敗了，拍拍泥土站起來，重新試一遍。上世紀(jì)二十年代，有一個(gè)記者問愛迪生，做實(shí)驗(yàn)一千次都失敗了，無法設(shè)計(jì)出白熾燈。愛迪生說，我并不是失敗了一千次，而是為了發(fā)明這個(gè)燈泡而嘗試了很多次。這燈泡本身，就是上千次實(shí)驗(yàn)的結(jié)果。這就是意志力，這就是永不言棄的渴望。

 

What is amazing is that there exists that phenomenal willpower in every single human. Only you can harness it. In life, you can go at it alone, or you can go at it with companionship. There's an old African proverb that says, if you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together. So don't be afraid to get help when necessary, and always have a positive attitude. When everything seems to be going against you, remember that an airplane takes off against the wind, not with it. So it is with life for you to soar high into the sky.

最令人欣慰的是，這種優(yōu)秀的品質(zhì)，其實(shí)每個(gè)人都擁有。不過，只有你能駕馭好自己的能力。在人生中，你可以單打獨(dú)斗，也可以團(tuán)結(jié)合作。有一句非洲言語說得好，一個(gè)人走，走得更快，一群人走，走得更遠(yuǎn)。所以，當(dāng)你需要幫助的時(shí)候，不用擔(dān)害怕，要一直保持積極的態(tài)度。如果有事情事與愿違，請記住，飛機(jī)是逆風(fēng)飛向天空的，不是隨風(fēng)飛走。在人生中，道理也是一樣的。這對于你的人生而言，道理同樣適用。

 

You have to move against resistance and the naysayers. It is what fortifies you and makes you strong. And one day you'll tell someone how you got out of what you are currently going through and they use it as a survival guide for their own journey. Some challenges you face in life aren't just for you, but also for those who are coming behind you. When you feel like giving up, just remember that there are a lot of people you still have to prove wrong. But more importantly, remember you are doing this for yourself. I'm not going to tell you it will be all easy. But I am telling you it is going to be all worth it.
