I saw thee weep --- the big bright tear
我看過(guò)你哭—— 一滴明亮的淚

Came o'er that eye of blue;
涌上了你藍(lán)
色的眼珠

And then, me thought, it did appear
那時(shí)候，我心想，這豈不就是

A violet dropping dew:
一朵紫羅蘭上垂著露

I saw thee smile --- the sapphire's blaze
我看過(guò)你笑——藍(lán)寶石的火焰

Beside thee ceased to shine
It could not match the living rays
在你前面也不再發(fā)閃
你那一瞥的靈活的光線

That filled that glance of thine.
As clouds from yonder sun receive a deep and mellow dye
Which scarce the shade of coming eve.
Can banish
from the sky
得到濃厚而柔和的色彩
就是冉冉的黃昏的暗影
也不能將它從天空逐開(kāi)

Those smiles unto the moodiest mind
Their own pure joy impart
Their sunshine leaves a glow behind
That lightens o'er the heart.
你那微笑給我陰沉的腦中
也灌注了純潔的歡樂(lè)
你的容光留下了光明一閃
直似太陽(yáng)在我心里燦爛
