United States has suffered more coronavirus related deaths than any other countries since the pandemic began in December. It has surpassed Italy to record about 20.000 deaths in total. Andrew Cuomo, the governor of the worst affected state of New York said the death rate there was stabilizing but at horrific level.

The head of the African Union Commission has summoned the Chinese ambassador after African residents in the city of Guangzhou in China said they were being mistreated over fears they were spreading Covid-19. Some said they had been evicted from their homes.
