Look, not so long ago I was on a mission that meant certain death – my death – and now I'm back, in a nice warm office with my big brother and ... Are those ginger nuts?

當(dāng)look單獨(dú)用時(shí)，一般有兩種意思

1. 看(把某人的目光指向一處)

Look! Someone's wearing the same shirt as you. What a coincidence. 快看!有人跟你穿一樣的T恤。好巧!

Look! I sent you the message at 5 AM this morning. I told you I wasn't lying. 看，這信息是我早上5點(diǎn)給你發(fā)的。跟你說(shuō)了我沒(méi)撒謊。

 

2. 可以表強(qiáng)調(diào)，引起注意，也可以表達(dá)憤怒或者生氣的情緒

Look, I already told you about this. Don't ask me again. 這我都跟你說(shuō)過(guò)了，不要在問(wèn)我了。

Look, there's no need to start arguing. That'll get us nowhere. 我們沒(méi)必要開(kāi)始吵。這并不能解決問(wèn)題。

Look, we've already been through this. I don't want to talk about it anymore. 我們已經(jīng)談過(guò)這個(gè)了，我不想再談了。
