Perhaps the most well-known author in the field of communication and public speaking, Dale Carnegie was born into poverty on a small farm in Missouri, on November 24, 1888. 他也許是世界上在交流和演講領域最有名的作家?？突?888年11月24日出生在密蘇里州的一個農(nóng)場。
His father, named John William Caraagie, was a poor farmer. 他的父親約翰·威廉·卡耐基是一位貧苦的農(nóng)民，
His mother, named Amanda Elizabeth Camagie, worked with his father on the farm. 母親阿曼達·伊利沙白·卡耐基和和丈夫一起在農(nóng)場工作。
Dale Camegey came from humble beginnings. 戴爾·卡耐基就這樣在貧苦中開始生活。
Yearly floods devastated the farm and kept the family poor. 每年的洪水泛濫摧毀了農(nóng)場，使這個家庭更加貧困。

When thunderstorms came, he worried for fear he would be killed for lightning. 打雷時，他擔心會被雷劈死；
When hard times came, he worried for fear they wouldn't have enough to eat. 年景不好時，擔心以后沒有食物充饑；
He worried for fear he would go to hell when he died. 還擔心死后會不會下地獄。
